The cup travels home with the team

Valencia CF's Copa del Rey winning squad touched down at Manises airport at 5:03pm on Sunday afternoon, as the special Air Nostrum Centenary plane took them -and the cup itself- home from Jerez.

The players were applauded off the plane by workers at Valencia's airport, and Dani Parejo and Rodrigo Moreno would bring the cup down the steps of the plane. The silverware had travelled in the captain's cabin for the 1-5 hour flight, which was accompanied by the soundtrack of the VCF anthem 'Amunt Valencia.'

The plane's PA system was taken over to incite chants, sing along with songs and listen to the commentary of the goals from Gameiro and Rodrigo,
Celebrations will continue all week amongst fans, marking the eighth Copa del Rey won by the club.
